To Philip at Seabreeze We have been back hame in Scotland now for just on two weeks having had a most wonderfull time in Aruba. We had tought about coming to your part of the world for about 2/3 years ago but at that time the Travel Agent put us off the idea saying it would b too noisy, too Americanised etc., so we weinrt elsewhere. We still hankered to come to Aruba and we wre not at all disapointed. The Island has it's own special charm, the climate is just perfect and the locals are very friendly indeed. If you enjoy jaunting around try some off-road driving it is just great and the Island certainly lends itself to that experience. Our accommodation at Seabreeze was searched out and booked on-line and we were very delighted in every way. Philip et all work hard to make their guest welcome and comfortable. The apartments are very well situated and very compact inside while offering good and ample room for living in. The outside area of the largew patio and poolareas heve been developed with a lot of thought by Philip. We were very impressed by all the hard work of Philip who is up with the lark in the morning and works away all day long- is always on hand to give you assistance or advice if and when required but keeps very much too the background and in noway intrudes in your privacy. There is plenty to see and do on the Island and if you so wish you can come back to your apartment and enjoy the peace and quiet of the patio area, pool and most of all the beautiful sun. Having travelled widely overseas we have come to the view that Aruba is the best location yet-the climate is the best ever with the sun all day long and a warm breeze continually blowing to keep the temperature just perfect. If you like sailing then the Sunset Cruise from the Harbour area is well recommended as is a visit to the Bat Caves. In fact all the usual tourist attraction are worth a visit and if you like solitude then a jaunt to the little Chapel of 'Alta Vista' is worth a mention. If and when we can visit Aruba again w4e will without doubt book to stay with Philip at Seabreeze- for that helped tremendeously to make our holiday-we had first class accommodation- and we must not forget Dali the Housegirl who kept the Apartments in pristine condition. All in all Seabreeze is to be recommended. Many many thanks Philip Best regards from Ann & Tom Campbell, Motherwell, Lanarkshire,Scotland

Dear holiday-seekers in Aruba! As I was looking for a good and in terms of price/value reasonable place to stay on Aruba myself earlier this year (2003) and found the comments of others in this guestbook most helpful, I would like to give you an account of my stay at sea-breeze appartments. First of all: The place is worth its money and if your requirements meet the good - not 5-star - standards at sea-breeze you will have a great vacation there. Sea-breeze is located in the town of Pos Chiquito which is an urban, quiet area far away from all the touristy spots. The place is not located directly on the ocean side but one small block away which isn´t too much of a set back as you will have to travel to the great Aruban beaches anyway, because the seaside in Pos Chiquito is not really gifted with sand and shallow waters. Getting to Oranjestad (for shopping and bars) or the beach area further west or to San Nicolas turned out to be very easy and cheap by walking the three minutes to the main road and hopping on one of the busses that pass every thirty minutes. Taxis are available as well. Pos Chiquito itself supplies you with a small supermarket (for cooking in the appartment, if you want to go cheap) and two or three restaurants in walking distance. The cosy appartment area at sea-breeze felt like home to us from the very first day: The appartments themselves are set in a way, that you can keep quite an amount of privacy even on the little front porches. There are palmtrees ruffling in the wind, a little pond with fishes and a mock, at nighttimes illuminated bar with a useable barbecue grill which give a very nice “holiday landscape”. The pool looks larger and deeper than it is on pictures (if you really want to swim, go to the beach!), but its nice to dip into it in the evening with a cool beer or so. The appartments themselves are clean and well kept with a cooking area you can really work in, if you want to (bring some salt with you, if you don´t want to buy a big pack for a week! :-) ). Philip Lapin, the owner, did all of the designing of the place himself and if you ask him with any small problems that might occur, he will help you make your stay even more enjoyable, starting with the great service of picking you up from the airport, which reduces the stress of finding a cab, negotiating a fair price or tugging your bags to and from the bus station down to zero. I can really recommend this place for people who like their Aruba-vacation a little more individual (and affordable!) than staying at a five-star-30-dollars-for dinner-15-for breakfast-hotel. Because eating and drinking in restaurants in Aruba is the really, really expensive thing on this island if you have to do it for 7 days or more. Cheers from Austria, Tobi

We just returned from our first vacation to Aruba and can truthfully say that the Seabreeze was a wonderful place to stay. The apartment was away from the high and low rise apartments so very relaxing. The owner of the Seabreeze takes excellent care of the facility including the landscaping. There was a pool for a dip , a BBQ, and a huge patio area to meet other guests if we chose to. We had to drive only a short way to visit the high and low rise beaches and shopping areas. We drove to both tips of Aruba and saw both lighthouses. I only wish we had stayed longer than 1 week. I can't wait to return! Thank you Seabreeze for making our trip so memorable and relaxing.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful, and we look forward to staying at the Seabreeze Apartments again on our next visit to Aruba! The atmosphere was very calming and inviting, my husband and I often say to people who ask us where to stay while visiting the Island, and we highly recommend they stay at Seabreeze. My Husband and I Wed in Aruba, and even the Wedding coordinator commented after coming to meet us that it was an Oasis, and that she and her husband who are native to Aruba said that they would like to stay at the Seabreeze Apartments for a weekend get away! Imagine that...a weekend get away when you already live in Paradise! Says a lot about this wonderful place. Less than a city block away is a beautiful breathtaking view of the Carribean Sea where you have instant access to the beach, GREAT SNORKLING!!! Until next time, many Blessings!!! Sincerely, Chris and Stefanie Crabb-Detroit, MI

Macha danki !!!!!!!!!

Dear Sirs, As I was submitting my e-mail I got disconnected from the internet; thus, I am not sure you already got it or not. Nevertheless, I would like to know the monthly price for 1 or 2 people, since I am planning to stay in Aruba for about one year long. Your apartments look very neat, and I would like to know more about them. I thank you in advance for your kind help and information. Sincerely yours, Marisela

Last week we returned from a two week holiday in Aruba. We booked our accommodation over the web and chose Seabreeze appartments because it was described as being close (understatement) to a great local beach and excellent snorkelling and scuba diving area. It was perfect. After a phone call Philip collected us from the airport. Our studio appartment was all that we could have asked for. Absolutely clean, king-size bed, large breakfast counter, wardrobe and drawers and shelves lined with holiday reading plus TV and portable CD player and radio. Two-burner cooker and fridge-freezer and coffee making machine. And great large shower area. Philip was great. Layout of the nine appartments is such that if you want to be left alone you are. If you feel inclined to communicate with other residents, there is the lovely bar/patio area to sit in. Anything you want to know or any trip you're interested in Philip is very helpful, otherwise you are left undisturbed. The crystal-clear waters teeming with multi-coloured fish plus coral are just a few hundred yards walk away from the Seabreeze. A wonderful beach. Only (relatively) busy on weekends when locals relax the day way with BBQs and swimming. Otherwise its blissfully quiet and so sweetly removed from the crowded bunch of high-rise resorts/hotels at other end of the island. Spent our days endlessly snorkelling and every day still adding "new" fish to our list. Had a couple of people turn up from the other resorts who said we had the best - one couple had been to Aruba 4 times and had just found "our" snorkelling site and said it was the best in Aruba and we had no need to try anywhere else. The supermarket just a minutes walk out the Seabreeze gates caters for most necessities. There's another about three minutes walk away. And the Marina Pirata restaurant was a great treat - a real seafood restaurant and perfect if you arrive intime to watch the sun set with a tasty Margarita... just a few minutes walk from the Seabreeze. We work hard and travel a lot for work and really needed an "alone" hot, sea and snorkelling relaxing holiday. Going to Aruba and inadvertantly choosing the great Seabreeze was perfect. Philip and Ineke have done a great job at providing all the facilities needed (apart from ironing!) for those who want a real, relaxing, individual island holiday in clean, civilized surroundings. Appreciated much.

Is it in the middle of the city? Is it necessary to rent a car and how much does that cost? How far are you from the beach? Can I make a reservation for 2 adults and 2 children in the room for 2-3 weeks in March-April? Thank you for quick answer.
